Ladies tell you about their track day experience:

Dawn

"The best part of tracking my 2015 50th Limited Edition, so far, has been not only learning what my car is capable of, but what I am capable of as well. I’m learning to trust my car to do its job in the controlled environment of a road course. I am learning how my car keeps me safe while I figure out the best way to take 13+ turns, where and when to rapidly accelerate, what taking my RPMs to 7k offers and what “hard braking” really, really, really means. But I’m also learning how to safely handle my car and myself when I exceed limits - because that happens - and how one recovers is crucial to being able to drive your car home. My goal is to find the fastest yet smoothest line on the track - to me that would feel like the most perfect ballroom dance routine - effortlessly gliding around, but at 130 MPH - where my car takes the lead and I have the muscle memory to relax, lean in, and simply follow."

"Your car has more talent than you might realize (and so do you). Bring your car to the track. Start at a comfortable speed. Enjoy the thrill of your coach helping you go faster, taking the turns a little tighter, and reaching speeds you can’t do on the highway. Your car will love it, and I believe you’ll finish with a huge smile.

Adrenalin rush. You. Your car. Your coach. The track. Laugh because you’re having fun!"

"The positive vibes in the paddock were amazing. Ladies strapping on helmets for the first time to go out on track were all smiles and I was told numerous times that this was the most fun they have had in their whole life."

"Honestly for me the best part of the Ladies Day was the education, support, and encouragement I received from the Jzilla team, my instructor and other women involved. Being a part of a group of women who were there cheering each other on was something I’ve never experienced before. I had so many women come up to me from different groups telling me they noticed my improvement during the day, and it gave me all the feel-good vibes. My instructor made me feel more confident in each session, educating me when needed, cheering me on when I made progress, and took me out for a couple laps to show me first-hand what I could do better. By the end of the day, I left with my heart happy and looking forward to my next track experience."

"This picture is proof that I got out there and did the thing! The viper did really well on the track and I learned a lot thanks to my awesome instructor.

I’m really proud of how much I’ve improved since my first time out. This isn’t a skill that comes naturally to me - I’m having to work hard and retrain a lot of my instincts. It helps that I have a lot of supportive people pushing me and cheering me on."

Sharon

"Racing wasn’t part of my upbringing, and as a child and young adult I had little exposure to it. Having access to a track, skilled instruction, and such a positive, welcoming environment has pushed me outside my comfort zone and allowed me to truly enjoy the thrill of the track. I’m grateful to the people who make this experience accessible and create these opportunities—and getting to learn from, and be inspired by, bad ass women is the ultimate bonus!"
